There is a way to stretch your beauty dollar and it is as close as your kitchen or grocery store.

Have you ever thought of exfoliating your hands with a few walnuts? KMBC’s Kelly Eckerman reported that because walnuts are rich in oil and have a rough texture, they make a gentle skin exfoliater.

Oatmeal can be used to calm and soften skin. Avocado oil can help sensitive or dry skin. The oils are abundant in fatty acids that help balance the skin's moisture levels.

Have you tried washing your hair in beer to give it volume? Yeast and hops are supposed to plump the hair, and the beer’s acidity can remove buildup. A rich beer works better than a light beer.

Consider using oatmeal as a skin softener, oranges to slough dry skin, and add milk to your bath to soften skin. Apple cider vinegar may help with blemishes.
